Flax & Almond Flour Banana Bread

Ingredient List

3 ripe bananas, mashed
1 t vanilla extract
3 eggs
3 T unsweetened almond milk (or dairy free milk of choice)
2 1/4 cups almond flour
3/4 cup ground flaxseed
1 t cinnamon
1/2 t nutmeg
1 t baking soda
1/2 t salt
1/2 cup dark chocolate chips (dairy free if desired) + more for sprinkling on top


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees on convection setting. Use a loaf sized baking stone or line a regular loaf pan with parchment paper. Grease the parchment paper with avocado or olive oil spray if possible, otherwise can use non-stick cooking spray.
  2. Mash bananas and add eggs, vanilla, and almond milk.
  3. Add remaining dry ingredients and combine thoroughly.
  4. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  5. Spread in loaf pan and smooth out with a spatula. Sprinkle extra chocolate chips on top if desired
  6. Bake for about 50 minutes or until knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
  7. Allow to cool in pan for 10-15 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  8. Bread keeps okay at room temperature for a day or two, but then transfer to fridge or freezer!
